It’s imperative we rebuild American Trust in the electoral system & defend the democratic process.

The Problem

Today, American politics are more divisive than ever. An erosion of faith in our democracy, and the proliferation of politicians undermining election integrity to bolster their own campaign, reputation, or party’s influence have caused false narratives about “stolen elections” to take root. The mistrust that many voters have for our electoral system puts our democracy at grave risk.

A Bipartisan Solution

The Democracy Defense Project (DDP) is a new organization led by a bipartisan group of former elected officials and leaders across Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin who will work to defend the transparency, safety, security and validity of our nation’s electoral system. We will publicly defend those who have sworn to uphold the rule of law and to be an active voice against any individual or organization that would look to undermine lawful election processes and outcomes. It is time for those who know better to speak up and that’s what DDP will do.

Coming together to engage in constructive dialogue around the election process will…

Foster Greater Confidence in America’s Election Results

Improve U.S. Voter Participation

Move Us Beyond Polarizing Rhetoric and Lies

Our Mission

To strengthen democracy by reestablishing faith in the transparency, safety, security, and validity of our elections process.
