Phoenix, AZ— Democracy Defense Project Arizona Board Member Congressman Matt Salmon issued the following statement regarding the Arizona Primary Election as results are officially canvassed this week:
“Two weeks ago, thousands of Arizonans participated in the Primary Election across the state. I thank the county recorders, election officials, community leaders, and volunteers who prepared for months to ensure voters were able to participate in this election with ease. All outstanding ballots have been verified and counted per the letter of the law and the majority of races have been determined. I applaud those who accepted the outcome when it was not in their favor.
“With a successful Primary Election nearing completion, I hope voters remain confident in the long-standing protocols and systems in place as we turn our attention to the General Election in November.”
