Las Vegas, NEVADA – A new poll conducted by The Tarrance Group on behalf of the Democracy Defense Project (DDP) reveals that Nevada voters maintain a high level of confidence in the state’s election process, even as concerns linger over the integrity of national elections.

The survey of 600 likely voters in Nevada shows that just 14 percent of respondents lack confidence in Nevada’s elections. In contrast, 31 percent expressed doubts about the security of national elections, including nearly half of Republican respondents. The results highlight the divide between local and national perspectives, with many Nevadans trusting the system in their state but remaining wary of broader electoral processes.

DDP, a bipartisan organization co-chaired by former Republican Governor Brian Sandoval and former Democratic Speaker of the Assembly Richard Perkins, has been at the forefront of efforts to bolster election integrity in Nevada. Sandoval stressed the importance of voter education in maintaining trust in elections. “Once people become familiar with our safeguards and how hard election workers are working, their confidence grows,” Sandoval said.

The poll also revealed that approximately 37 percent of Nevadans are very confident in the security of the voting and ballot-counting process. On the other hand, 42 percent of Republicans and 27 percent of independents expressed doubts about the state’s election procedures, underscoring the ongoing challenge of dispelling partisan skepticism.

Richard Perkins noted that the positive results reflect the state’s yearslong commitment to building trust in elections. “Nevadans’ confidence shows we are doing something right,” Perkins said. “Our reforms are making a difference, and voters are seeing that.”

The poll also highlighted what voters see as the top threats to election integrity—factors such as media bias, misinformation from artificial intelligence, and foreign propaganda. Despite these concerns, respondents showed overwhelming support for key election security measures already in place in Nevada, including the use of paper ballots and voting machines that are not connected to the internet.

Dave Sackett, partner at The Tarrance Group, noted that the poll’s findings are a reminder that simple, clear messaging about election safeguards can have a big impact. “Informing voters about the steps being taken to secure elections can significantly boost confidence across the board,” Sackett said.

The Democracy Defense Project remains committed to promoting secure and transparent elections in Nevada, ensuring voters can trust the process at every level.
