Wisconsin – Following yesterday’s shooting at President Trump’s rally, Democracy Defense Project – Wisconsin leaders JB Van Hollen and Mike Tate released the following statement condeming the violence and reasserting the organization’s commitment to preventing future violence through voter education and civil discourse around our electoral systems:
“In Wisconsin, we settle our differences at the ballot box. Our nation has no place for violence like this, and we condemn acts of violence like we saw yesterday in the strongest possible terms. We’re praying for President Trump’s speedy recovery and will continue working to promote safe, secure elections in this state so we can settle our differences the American way – on Election Day.” – Fmr. Wisconsin Attorney General JB Van Hollen and Fmr. Wisconsin Democratic Party Chair Mike Tate.
